About
Piccadilly’s iconic hotel, The Dilly, has relaunched its famous London-themed Afternoon Tea menu with a brand-new twist. Served in the elegant Terrace at The Dilly, the new menu will be displayed on a unique London bus-shaped stand and will consist of quintessentially British staples and stunning patisserie treats resembling some of London’s most famous landmarks.
To start, diners can enjoy four homemade savoury sandwiches, including a Coronation chicken sandwich served on white bread, an egg and mustard cress sandwich served on rustic onion bread, a carrot, cucumber and coconut cream cheese sandwich layered between slices of soft country malt bread, and a smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese sandwich served on white bread.
Guests can also indulge in a stunning collection of cakes and sweet treats in the shape of key London landmarks, including the iconic Tower Bridge; a pear frangipane with vanilla cremeux and pear and rosemary chutney and St Paul’s Cathedral; made from spiced plum, ginger sable and candy walnuts. Big Ben will also grace the menu again, made of a caramel chocolate ganache, sea salt and a dark chocolate sable, and a classic London double-decker bus will come presented in the form of a mango and passionfruit cheesecake. Both plain and raisin scones will also be served alongside clotted cream and a sweet strawberry jam to tie together this British tradition.
