Afternoon Tea Awards 2025 - Award of Excellence

L’oscar London, a five-star boutique hotel, have launched their new Afternoon Tea, inspired by the historical Grade II* listed building that was once the headquarters of the Baptist Church.

L’oscar London is located in the heart of London’s Southampton Row, close to Covent Garden, Theatreland, Soho, and the West End. Built between 1901 and 1903 in Edwardian Baroque style and restored by world-renowned French interior designer, Jacques Garcia, L’oscar London now stands as a historical icon and luxury destination.

Afternoon Tea at L’oscar is served in L’oscar Restaurant which features an illuminated onyx bar with ceilings lined with mirrors, gilded panels, and stunning original art. The restaurant offers all the charm and sophistication of a Parisian café. In true tradition, guests can expect delicious finger sandwiches including classics like cucumber and cream cheese, as well as L’oscar favourites such as Scottish smoked salmon on a buttery croissant, topped with salmon roe. Sweet treats on offer include freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jams, as well as delicately crafted cakes inspired by the flavours of the season.

Afternoon Tea is served Monday to Friday from 2:30pm – 5:00pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12:00pm – 5:00pm, priced at £59 per person with a pot of choice Newby Teas.

Guests can now enjoy Sparkling Afternoon Tea for £65 per person which is served with a bottle of Saicho Sparkling Tea, a non-alcoholic alternative to their Champagne Afternoon Tea. Champagne Afternoon Tea is priced at £69 per person and is served with a pot of choice Newby Teas and a glass of Jeeper Brut Grand Assemblage.
