About
Matfen Hall, Northumberland’s first and only five-star hotel, is set within a 300-acre estate and boasts 63 rooms, four diverse dining areas, a luxurious spa and 27-holes of championship golf.
Afternoon Tea is served in The Drawing Room – an opulent room with plunging sofas and armchairs, overlooking the vast parkland golf course and gardens. With high ceilings featuring ornate design, and a fireplace originally commissioned for Buckingham Palace, it is a truly special place to indulge in Afternoon Tea.
The menu itself is designed by Head Pastry Chef Laurèns Le Gal and prepared fresh daily by him and his team. The menu features traditional delights with Laurèns’ personal twists, making it ever the more special, and changes frequently to reflect the most seasonal ingredients. The menu supported by Laurent-Perrier Champagne – truly treat yourself with a tasting flight of their exquisite wines.
