Set within a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse on Queen's Gate, The Kensington has welcomed guests to Afternoon Tea since these drawing rooms first opened in the Victorian era - a tradition that lives on in every freshly baked scone, now with the golden colours and comforting flavours of the season.

A selection of finger sandwiches opens the afternoon, showcasing the finest British produce: smoked salmon with chive cream cheese, roast Wiltshire ham with English mustard mayonnaise, English cucumber with mint crème fraîche, and egg mayonnaise with watercress. Freshly baked raisin and plain scones, made daily in The Kensington's kitchens, arrive warm with Cornish clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam.

The afternoon turns autumnal with a selection of handmade pastries: a Bramley apple crumble tartlet, a chocolate éclair with caramel cream, a chocolate orange and hazelnut Battenburg cake, and a blackberry pavlova, paired with a curated tea selection from The Rare Tea Company.
