The Waldorf Hilton has an illustrious history and rich heritage dating back to its opening in 1908. Set in the heart of Londons theatre land, close to Covent Garden, the hotel has attracted a string of stars from all over the world. Gertrude Lawrence, Sir Thomas Beecham, Elizabeth Taylor, Pavarotti, Pierce Brosnan and Dame Judi Dench are just a handful of show business icons that have stayed at the hotel.
The Waldorf Tribute and The Waldorf Luxury White are exclusive tea blends, which can be enjoyed only at Homage. They offer an extensive selection of different types of loose leaf tea. We know that there is only one correct way to serve tea and that is to your individual taste; that is why at The Waldorf they present your tea for you to brew to perfection, yourself.
The traditional English Afternoon Tea menu includes an assortment of finger sandwiches with smoked salmon, cucumber and cheese, egg and watercress, roast ham and tomato and cheese fillings. The finger sandwiches are served on a three tier stand, together with freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve, followed by delicate afternoon tea pastries.
