The Tea Guild LogoThe best place in London to enjoy a sumptuous Afternoon Tea has been named as the The Langham Hotel, which has scooped The Tea Guild's prestigious awards for 2010 in the capital.

The event, now in its 25th year, is the ‘Michelin star' of the tea world, with world-famous London hotels and tea rooms competing for the coveted honour.

The venue beat dozens of other hotels and tea rooms to win the Top London Afternoon Tea 2010 award after judges were impressed by its 'light and airy setting, friendly and efficient staff and excellent selection of scones, sandwiches and pastries'.
